Unlike early-detected breast or testicular, colon or prostate cancers, most ovarian cancer cases cannot be cured simply because they are not discovered before the disease has evolved into its third or fourth stages.

Unfortunately for Lesley she was told she had a urine infection and sent away on two occasions with antibiotics By the time she was diagnosed Ovarian Cancer had taken over her body and she was at stage 3.

When we #walkinhername we will be honouring other women, men and children from the Barry community who are living their life’s after cancer or sadly lost their lives because of cancer.
